Question: Me and my father were discussing this during the Pittsburgh vs Toronto game. He agrees with pulling the goalie, but frankly i hate it when they pull the goalie. Yes, I understand why and everything, but I just like having the goalie there. What if the other team gets the puck, it's all over because if they miss the goal when theres no goalie, theres something wrong. What are your opinions on pulling the goalie? Yeah, ok. But I still think you should keep the goalie. You can still score 5 on 5. I know having another skater helps, but heck, having no goalie surely doesnt help. Hmm, I don't know. =b
Answer: I belive a good tactic for pulling a goalie would be to put and extra defenceman out on the ice, gives the other team less of a chance of getting the puck out, and defenetly lets you keep the puck in to get it to your forwards.
